Come join us!

A journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step. Your Toastmasters journey begins with a single step too — coming to one of our weekly meetings.

Start by visiting as a guest

As a guest you will see first hand what a Toastmasters meeting is really like. Enjoy the speakers of the week, and be surprised by how useful the evaluations are. You may even get the chance to take part as an impromptu speaker or fill one of the meeting roles — entirely up to you.

Best of all, attending as a guest is free.

How do I join?

If you have visited a meeting and decided the club is for you, wonderful — we would love to have you.

  • Ask any member for a membership form.
  • Fill it in and hand it back to us. We take care of the rest.
  • Toastmasters International guidelines ask clubs to vote in a prospective member. It is a formality, reserved for extraordinary circumstances, and we have never voted to reject an applicant.

For current membership dues, please ask a member or get in touch — dues are made up of Toastmasters International fees plus a small club fee.

What happens after I join?

You get set up

Once your membership is processed you become a full member, with access to our meeting management system, and you start taking on meeting roles. We deliberately start you with smaller roles and build up from there.

You choose a Pathway

Pathways is the Toastmasters education program. There are eleven paths to choose from, so whatever your goals are, there is one that fits.

You give your Ice Breaker

Your first prepared speech, usually a few weeks after joining. It is your introduction to the club, and the club’s first chance to give you useful feedback.

We meet Thursdays, 7:00–9:00 pm

Holy Trinity Anglican Church, 1440 West 12th Avenue, 2nd Floor, Vancouver, BC V6H 1M8
